School Health in Mubende District

Sample content. School names, figures and stories on this page are illustrative while we confirm them with partner schools and obtain consent.

Mubende is where School Health Africa began: the first partner school, the first water system, and the termly health-day rhythm that became our model. The district’s rural schools draw from unprotected wells and rainwater tanks, and health barriers to attendance are among the highest in the Central region.

Our Mubende program runs termly health days — water, deworming and micronutrients, first-responder teacher training, and vision screening with referral — with every figure verified with head teachers before publication.
