School Health Africa delivers preventative healthcare directly into schools across Uganda, so nothing stands between a child and their potential.
Our Programs
Each program is simple to deliver, proven to work, and designed to fit the rhythm of the school term, so impact compounds year after year.
Clean Water Access
We install multi-stage water purification systems directly at each partner school, so every child has safe drinking water at no cost to families, eliminating a leading cause of absenteeism and illness.
School water and hygiene interventions cut absenteeism by 26 to 35% in randomized trials
Deworming & Micronutrients
Every term, our health days bring WHO-approved dewormers and vitamin supplements to every enrolled child, delivered with parental consent and district health oversight.

First Responder Training
We train teachers as certified first responders: two days of instruction and supervised drills covering choking, wounds, fainting and when to escalate. Every school keeps a stocked first-aid station and a two-teacher emergency roster.

Vision Screening & Correction
Eighty percent of learning is visual. Our teams screen every child with Snellen and Ishihara charts, refer those who fail for full eye exams, and, through referral partners, fit children with corrective glasses.
